Honkai Star Rail: Best Healer in the Game

Publish date: 2024-06-19

There are two healers currently in Honkai Star Rail: Natasha and Bailu. Both of them can be extremely helpful to your team, but one of them manages to outshine the other.

Overall, the best healer in Honkai Star Rail is Bailu, since she can heal way more than Natasha but Natasha is also useful since her Skill can cleanse debuffs.

In this guide, I will compare Bailu with Natasha to find the best healer in Honkai Star Rail and showcase their advantages and disadvantages.

Also, did you know that you can get Natasha for free after progressing the main story? Check out our guide on how to get Natasha in Honkai Star Rail for more details.

Best Healer in Honkai Star Rail – Natasha vs Bailu

Natasha is a free-to-play healer that is unlocked while progressing the main story in Jarilo VI while Bailu is a 5-star character that can only be obtained via Warps.

Each of them brings different things to the team, so the best healer will depend on what you need the most.

On the one hand, Natasha offers mediocre healing both single-target (with her Skill) and AoE (with her Ultimate). Additionally, her first two Eidolons improve her healing effectiveness and allow Natasha to restore her own HP if she reaches below 30%.

The best part of Natasha’s kit is that her Skill also cleanses one debuff from an ally. This can make a huge difference versus harder enemies, especially when they inflict you with 10 stacks of Bleed damage.

On the other hand, Bailu offers better overall healing effectiveness. Her Ultimate targets all allies, while her Skill heals a random character three times (can heal the same character three times or three different characters).

Additionally, Bailu can revive an allied character if needed, which is extremely important.

Due to that, Bailu is better in terms of healing effectiveness, especially in the early game where enemies do not apply strong debuffs. Overall, Bailu is better at healing.

However, in the late game where you’ll need to complete Forgotten Halls, you will be required to have two parties of four. Due to that, it’s essential to build both Natasha and Bailu eventually (until another healer is released).

Shields vs Heals in Honkai Star Rail

Other than heals, players have the option to select Shielders as their support in Honkai Star Rail. Prime examples include March 7th and Gepard.

Overall, shield supports are more situational and fit well only in specific teams.

For instance, the best support for Clara is March 7th. This is because Clara’s Talent causes her to counterattack whenever she is hit and March 7th’s shield increases the chances of Clara being targeted.

Nevertheless, shielders are situational. Healer units are significantly more consistent in keeping your team alive and cleansing debuffs.

Wrapping up

To summarize, both Bailu and Natasha are great healers in Honkai Star Rail. Bailu is better overall since she can heal more but Natasha can cleanse debuffs, which is also vital in staying alive versus certain bosses.

Additionally, players can opt for a shield support instead of a healer but this is only better in certain situations where your team needs a shielder.
