Karri Kuzma is the mother of Kyle Kuzma an American professional basketball player for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Karri is a high school shot put champion who attended college on a track scholarship.

Karri Kuzma Biography

Karri Kuzma is married with Larry Smith. Couple has two sons. Two sons names, Kyle Kuzma and Andre. Duo also has a daughter named, Briana. She is a single mother.

Karri’s son, Kuzma is biracial. Kuzma met his father only once as an infant, but viewed the father of his half-siblings, Larry Smith, as a father figure. Karri Kuzma and Smith put a toy basketball rim in the living room for Kyle when he was only two years old, thus igniting his passion for basketball.

Karri Kuzma’s son success career

In 2013, Kuzma enrolled at the University of Utah. He signed his rookie scale contract with the Lakers, in 2017. Kuzma scored a season-high 37 points against the San Antonio Spurs in a 143–142 overtime loss, in 2018. Kuzma scored a game-winning three pointer to lift the Lakers to a 124–121 win over the Denver Nuggets, in 2020.

He signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension with the Lakers, in 2020. He scored 21 points and made a game-winning three-pointer in a 100–97 win over the Chicago Bulls, in Jan 2023. He declined his $13 million player option and elected to enter free agency, in June 2023. He signed a four-year, $102 million deal to remain with the Wizards, in June 2023.

Karri Kuzma College career

In 2013, Kuzma enrolled a student at the University of Utah. Because he signed late, he had to redshirt his first year. After averaging 10.8 points per game as a sophomore, he was named a starter for the Utes.

He was named to the first team of the Pac-12 as a junior in 2016–17 after averaging 16.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

After the season, Kuzma made the decision to forgo his final year of eligibility to play college basketball and enter the 2017 NBA draft. Kuzma received a sociology degree from the University of Utah.
