NuFACE's NuBODY Toning Device Reduces My Cellulite In Five Days

Publish date: 2024-06-13

Once the weather hits above 70 degrees, I refuse to wear pants. Catch me any day with either a dress, skirt, or a cute pair of shorts. Regardless of what my outfit is, my legs are out.

Cellulite has admittedly never been a huge concern of mine, but I do have more than a handful of dips on the backs of my thighs and all over my bottom. And while they don't keep me up at night or prevent me from wearing short clothing, they're also something I'd happily do without.

Now, despite there being a plethora of "cellulite-reducing creams" and whatnot, none of them actually work. Some products will ever so slightly plump and tighten the skin it comes in contact with, it's borderline criminal to promise that seal-smooth texture will come out of a jar. Simply put, topicals don't work.

And, while some in-office treatments can drastically reduce cellulite, the only at-home device I've tried that works is NuFACE's NuBODY Skin Toning Device.

Like the cult-classic NuFACE device, this one uses microcurrent technology to stimulate electrical currents into the skin that smooth, tighten, and contour. I use the device on my face, and immediately after using my jawline looks tighter, my eyes look more lifted, and my cheekbones come out of hiding. It works best when used over time, and when I'm consistent with it, I do notice a difference.

The same goes with the NuBODY. Immediately after using it, my thighs look tighter and my tush has a little more lift. However, the real kicker is that after using it consistently for five days, my cellulite drastically reduces. When I use it regularly for longer periods, the backs of my legs look nearly airbrushed — so much so that I've had to hide it from family members who keep "joking" about stealing it after seeing my results. (I let them use it when they visit — sharing is caring and I'm no Grinch.)

To use, I simply apply the primer gel to the treatment area to block the heat of the microcurrent. Then, I grasp the handle and slowly glide it over my skin. I have a few stubborn dimples, so I hold it in the same area for two-three beeps (which go off every five seconds) to really get at them, but if I just need a quick go-over, I do just one beep per area.

Now, I hate the concept of "bikini-ready bodies" and all of that other body-shaming bullshit that gets pushed down our throats 24/7 — and I'm not here to tell you that you should get rid of your cellulite. However, if cellulite is something that makes you a little self-conscious, as it does to me, I do think this product is a great investment. I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel more confident after seeing my NuBODY results.

The Splurge is our recurring column dedicated to expensive beauty products that are worth it. This week, why we're rebuying NuFACE's NuBODY Skin Toning Device despite the $399 price tag.
